The Prairie Valley Board of Education is pleased to announce that Luc Lerminiaux is appointed Director of Education for Prairie Valley School Division effective December 1, 2018.
Board Chair Janet Kotylak said, "The Board is pleased to have Mr. Lerminiaux join our team and we are looking forward to his leadership in implementing the Board's strategic plan and achieving our vision of Leadership in Learning and Life." Mr. Lerminiaux's dedication to student achievement and knowledge of the education sector is evidenced in his breadth of experience as a teacher, vice-principal, principal, and superintendent throughout his career. Mr. Lerminiaux received his Grade 1 to 12 education in a legacy school division of Prairie Valley School Division and we believe his rural roots give him the necessary foundation to serve our students, parents, and communities in his new role of Director of Education."

Throughout his career, Mr. Lerminiaux has demonstrated leadership in elementary and high school academic instruction and assessment, extra-curricular activities and community relations. He has Bachelor of Education and Master of Educational Administration degrees from the University of Regina and is fluently bilingual in English and French.

I am passionate about continuing to enhance a school division culture based on excellence, high expectations and success. I bring an unwavering commitment to student achievement and hope to motivate and empower every member of the organization to serve Prairie Valley School Division students and community with pride. I am looking forward to working with the Board, staff, parents and students. At a personal level, coming full circle and returning to where I began my education as a student is extremely rewarding."
The Board would like to thank Randy Fox for serving as Director of Education on an interim basis during the recruitment process. Mr. Fox's leadership has sustained strong performance in Prairie Valley School Division and will facilitate a smooth transition to Mr. Lerminiaux.
