The Graduation Committee is comprised of staff members who guide the students to make wise choices regarding their class Graduation celebration. The staff members gather in April to determine roles, and then meet with all potential Grads to inform them of such things as: the date of graduation, class/credit requirements, the date of pictures, etcetera.
The potential Grads are also asked a few questions, via survey, about: the committee they would like to be involved with, whom they would like to introduce them, whom they would like to see as Master of Ceremonies, etcetera. A parent meeting follows shortly after this date. Once results of the survey are in, the potential Grads meet with their specific committee to carry out certain responsibilities. These specific committees are: program committee, decorating committee, set-up committee, and promotion/invitation committee. Each of these specific committees meets on a regular basis to plan its portion of the Graduation celebration, with meetings as an entire Graduating class occurring to keep everyone informed and involved in the decision-making.
Bert Fox Community High School believes that our graduation ceremony should be a dignified celebration, culturally reaponsive and be accessable to all students who meet graduation requirements.
