- Attend to the personal care and safety needs of students;
- Consult and collaborate with school-based personnel, division-based personnel, parents and outside agencies regarding students with diverse needs and intensive supports;
Co-teach in classrooms to facilitate the implementation of instructional strategies and to assist teachers in the adjustment of the curriculum, instruction or environmental factors which may facilitate learning opportunities and programming support to students with diverse and intensive needs; and
Support the classroom teachers in the implementation of Universal Design and PBIS strategies.
The amount of time assigned to each of the above areas, specific students and classrooms depends on the demographics of each individual school and the needs of the students.
