Indian Head High School Local Scholarhips
(Subject to Change – Finalized information will be provided to all graduating students in April/May along with various application forms, etc.)
 
Governor General’s Academic Medal – Medal awarded to the student with the highest academic average based upon the final marks in all Grade 11 and 12 classes taken.

 
Prairie Valley School Division Student Leadership Award – Certificate and plaque awarded to a student in recognition of academic achievement and leadership within the school and community.
 
Don Ramsay Leadership Award:  Certificate awarded to a Qu’Appelle area student who has demonstrated qualities of good leadership.
 
Student Success Award – Certificate and plaque award to a student who has consistently worked to achieve their highest potential.
 
Elsie Campbell Award:  Certificate awarded to a student from Qu’Appelle who has achieved the highest average based on all subjects taken in the final year of school.
 
The Ben Grebinski Achievement Award Certificate and plaque awarded to a student who has been active in school related athletics, the arts, and has earned honour roll status.  The award is sponsored personally by Mr. Ben Grebinski who currently serves the Prairie Valley School Division as Director of Education.
 
Dale Buglass Award – Certificate & in school plaque – presented jointly by the staff & SRC for perseverance, dedication & enthusiasm in sports.
 
Paul Bisram Award – A certificate of achievement and name on in school plaque to the student displaying aptitude and proficiency in Welding.
 
Creative Writing Award - $100.00 and certificate to a student who displays a creative flair and demonstrates excellent skills in writing mechanics.
 
SRC Volunteer Award –$100.00 & certificate to a student who has shown that they are dedicated to the school by giving their own time to participate in events.
 
Anglican Parish Bursary - $100.00 and certificate to a student pursuing post-secondary education who has been involved in community activities.
 
C. Martens “Farm Kid” Scholarship - $100.00 awarded to one male and one female graduating student wishing to pursue self-employment. 
 
Qu'Appelle Lodge #6 Citizenship Award: $200.00 and certificate awarded to a Qu’Appelle area student who contributes in various ways to his community, church, school and family. 
 
SRC School Governance Scholarship –$200.00 & certificate to a student who has been involved in school governance and who has dedicated time and effort in making IHHS a fun and positive place to be.
 
Indian Head Dental Scholarship - $200.00 & Certificate.  The Giv’er award is given to a student who displays a positive attitude and gives of his/her time above and beyond what is expected. 
 
Indian Head and District Lions’ Scholarship - $200.00 & Certificate – to an Indian Head and district student awarded for leadership.
 
Indian Head and District Wildlife Federation - $200.00 & certificate to a student entering post-secondary training.
 
Access Centennial Scholarship Program - $200 & certificated to a student for academic achievement and community involvement.  Student must be a Saskatchewan resident and continuing on to post-secondary education.
 
Masonic Lodge Citizenship Scholarship - $200.00, Plaque & Certificate – Presented to a student who displays cooperativeness, compassion, honesty, helpfulness and ability to accept success and failure.
 
Henry B. Friesen Memorial Award  - $200.00 & Certificate to a graduate who has displayed determination, hard-work, a positive attitude, shows empathy and compassion to others and has had to face learning difficulties and has risen to the challenge.
 
Elk’s Award - $200 & trophy/certificate for the male who best combines scholastic & in school athletic proficiency.
 
Royal Purple Scholarship – Trophy and $200.00 & Certificate – to the female who best combines scholastic and in school athletic proficiency
 
Sharon Tibeau Memorial Scholarship - $200.00 & Certificate to a student for perseverance, enthusiasm, and commitment to school studies, environment and community.  Student must be a resident of Indian Head and continuing post-secondary school.
 
Sintaluta & District Lions Award - $200 & Certificate presented to a student who displays scholastic &/or in school athletic proficiency.  The student must be from Sintaluta district and pursuing post-secondary education.
 
Indian Head Band & District Parents’ Association Scholarship - $250.00 & Certificate to a student for excellence in the Choir program.
 
Indian Head Band & District Parents’ Association Scholarship - $250.00 & Certificate to a student for excellence in the Band program.
 
Rural Municipality of Indian Head No. 156 Scholarship - $250.00 & Certificate to a student with a background in agriculture.
 
Saskatchewan General Proficiency Award - $400.00 awarded to a student based upon the average of the final marks in classes specified by the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education.
 
Staff Leadership Scholarship –$400.00 & certificate to a student who displays leadership skills.
 
Indian Head High School Academic Award of Achievement – $400 and certificate to the student with the highest average.
 
Flatland Cruisers Inc. Annual Bursary – Amount TBD yearly.  Presented to a student entering the automotive field.  The automotive field is a wide area and can included anything to do with automotive repair or mechanics (ie. welding, autobody, automotive technician, partsperson, etc.)
 
Indian Head Royal Canadian Legion Branch #114 Scholarship – $500.00 & certificate to a student entering a post-secondary degree program at a Canadian technical institution.  Student must be the child or grandchild of an armed forces veteran.

Qu’Appelle Spirit Scholarship - Certificate and $500 awarded to the student for the best essay based on the subject of the Spirit of Qu’Appelle.
