Terry Fox Walk
NVE participated in a Terry Fox Walk last month. The students were challenged to raise $3500. We also had a hot dog lunch with some proceeds to the cause. After the walk around the community and students collecting pledges for two weeks, the final total raised was $4106.75! A great job by the students who canvassed their neighborhoods
It is with great pride that we share our Telemiracle fundraising total. Through raffles, hat day, stay and play, pledges...we raised, as of Friday morning, a grand total of $2040. WOW! Thank you to Miss Simmons and the SRC for their tremendous work here. This money will help many folks in Saskatchewan.
Our Pampered Chef life skills fundraiser was also very successful. We raised $2211 worth of product and money to purchase equipment for our lifeskills program. Thank you to Mrs. Jodi Allen for her support a to all who donated or contributed to this fundraiser. Mrs. Wirth and the life skills students are very excited.
Terry Fox: NVE Walk for Hope 2017
" BE LIKE TERRY…"
This year marks the 37th anniversary of the Marathon of Hope. This marathon was started by Terry Fox on April 12, 1980 in St John's, Newfoundland. Terry dipped his artificial leg into the Atlantic Ocean and began his odyssey. He ran an average of 42 kilometers a day (26 miles) through six provinces.
Our goal for this run was to raise $3420, which is $45 for each of our 70 students. We believed this to be a very achievable goal. Last year we raised $3194!
This year we raised $3890.00 !!
Candy Canes for the Hungry 2017
NVE in conjuction with the Potash Corporation raised 722.00 to donate to the Moose Jaw Food Bank this Christmas. Students sold cany canes for a dollar. Every dollar that we made- the Potash Co. matched! We raised 361.40 on our own ! Good Job North Valley! Thank you to Miss Simmons for donating the candy canes to sell!
