The South Shore School 'Helping Hands Club' was very busy throughout the month of May helping those in need...including animals! The club held a food drive for one week encouraging students, staff and community members to donate non-perishable food items to the Regina Food Bank. Over 8 good size boxes of food and personal hygiene items were collected. Thank you to everyone who donated to such a worthy cause!
The grade 4,5 and 6 students danced up a storm on May 25 at the Spring Fling dance organized by the 'Helping Hands Club', Ms. Draper, Mrs. Matlock and Ms Riddell. Dance admission and all money raised at the canteen were donated to CC RezQ in Regina whose goal rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming stray dogs from First Nations communities across the province. $348.25 has been donated to the organization. The club members and teachers are very proud of such a successful outcome!
