reside in each subdivision vote for one candidate from the list of
candidates seeking election in that subdivision. The Board of Education is
comprised of the winning candidates for each subdivision.
Eligibility to vote in and the conduction of school board elections in Saskatchewan are governed by The Local Government Election Act, 2015. You can register to vote for the Prairie Valley School Board on Election Day if you:
- Are a Canadian citizen,
- Are at least 18 years of age,
- Have resided in the school division for at least three consecutive months immediately preceding the day of the election, and
- Have resided in Saskatchewan for at least six consecutive months immediately preceding the day of the election. (Local Government Election Act, 2015 – 36.)
