Suicide Awareness and Prevention Parent Information Night On January 16th @ 6:30 at Lumsden High School
Our learning supports team is at it again, providing free parent and community information nights on youth mental health. Parent information nights have been a huge success. Last year, we had 50 to 80 people show up in nearly -40C weather to learn about anxiety in youth. This year, the sessions focus on youth suicide awareness and prevention. Not only is providing health support and resiliency a priority in our division, we know that delivering mental health education within our school communities reduces stigma and increases acceptance and inclusion of those experiencing poor mental health. We hope you can join us at Lumsden High School on January 16 at 6:30 pm.
