Montmartre School
Leading each other through academics, values and a caring school
Principal's Message
Welcome back to the 2018-2019 school year at Montmartre School!
I am both excited and proud to identify as a Montmartre Eagle!  As your newly appointed principal I am confident that through a team approach that includes and values students, families, teaching staff, support staff and administrative leadership that we will continue to improve on the vibrant culture that currently exists at Montmartre School.
Any students' school experience should provide opportunities for balance and encompass the development of the entire person.  It should be an experience that creates feeling of efficacy and success, and builds confidence into every learner.  I strongly believe that every student is able to define and experience success that is meaningful to them as an individual.  The Montmartre experience will provide high expectations in the academic dimension required to develop life long independent and adaptable learners; challenging and diverse extra curricular opportunites that will continue to develop the mental and physical stamina required through active participation and engagement; and the social experiences that value both independence and collaboration that is respectful of all people and their cultural heritage, in an environment that is free from judgement.  Together we will strive to meet the unique needs of all students and maintain a safe, orderly, and engaging learning environment, with high expectations for success.
The school vision to provide a high level of education that empowers individuals to become caring, competent, responsible citizens who value education and life-long learning will be upheld with rigor. While the values of honesty, empathy, respect, responsibility and independence will be modelled, taught and expected from students, staff and our community.
I encourage you to contact me at anytime and become involved in any way that you are able, to help create an Eagle nest that students, staff and community are connected to!
Go Eagles!
Mrs. Jill Young-Lee
