"Learning For All"
"Creating Independent Lifelong Learners"
As we pass the mid-point of the 2018-2019 school year we are proud of the learning we have done and excited for the opportunities to come! Students have participated in cross country running, volleyball, cooking club, drawing club, coding club, and curling so far. Badminton is getting underway and we are looking forward to track and field when the weather warms up.
We have many exciting presentations yet to come this year. In March we welcome the Red Cross and the Saskatchewan Roughriders Imagine No Bullying Campaign, we will have a hoop-dancing presentation from Teddy Anderson and look forward to welcoming back the Horizon String Quartet in June.
Upcoming fundraising events include the Jump Rope for Heart in April and May as well as the Spring Veseys flower and bulb fundraiser.
Our focus with our learning improvement plan continues to be increasing student literacy achievement, targeting math numeracy instruction as well as promoting a welcoming and engaging school climate. We are focusing on building strong, accepting communities of learning within our classrooms are looking forward to working with our students, parents, SCC and community to give our students the best educational supports. There are plans to bring in guest speakers, try new educational programs and practices, and engage our community as much as possible!
