Prairie Valley School Division Board Member Elected as Southern Constituency Representative to Saskatchewan School Board Association

In her new role on the SSBA Executive, Lisa will represent the voice of the six southern school divisions: Chinook School Division, Prairie South School Division, South East Cornerstone Public School Division, Good Spirit School Division, and her own Prairie Valley School Division.

Grudnizki, who has served as a trustee with Prairie Valley since 2020, will bring her commitment to education to the provincial level, bringing a strong rural voice to the SSBA’s Executive. Lisa was elected during the Association’s annual general meeting held in Regina this week.

“Lisa’s knowledge of rural education and her commitment to student success make her an outstanding choice for this role,” said Prairie Valley Board Chair Janet Kotylak. “She brings both experience and heart to the table, and we know she’ll be a strong advocate for our region.”

As Southern Constituency Representative, Grudnizki will work alongside trustees from across the province to support the SSBA’s mission of providing leadership, advocacy, and service to Saskatchewan’s school boards. Her role will include facilitating communication between the SSBA and southern boards, contributing to policy development, and championing the needs of rural and remote communities.

“I’m honoured to have the support of my fellow trustees and excited to serve in this new capacity,” said Grudnizki. “Our rural schools are vibrant, resilient, and full of potential; we need to ensure they are supported in a way that sustains the students and schools for generations to come. I look forward to ensuring rural voices are heard at the provincial level.”

The Prairie Valley School Division congratulates Grudnizki on her election and looks forward to the positive impact her leadership will continue to have—both locally and provincially.
